Does Eating Less and Exercising More Make You Fat?

Contrary to what you would think by reading the paper or watching the news, going on fad diets and radical exercise programs will do you more harm than good.

It is part of the reason why:

* 64% of Americans are overweight, up 18% since 1994
* 25% of us are clinically obese, up 36% since 1994
* Over 40% have high cholesterol
* 50% of Americans over 65 have high blood pressure, and 28.7% overall
* 5.1% of Americans have type-2 diabetes, up a whopping 104% from 1980 to 2004
* Over 100,000,000 Americans have metabolic syndrome, which is one small step away from type-2 diabetes
* 92% of Americans are deficient in one or more essential vitamins and minerals

Many of the people in these categories fell for the "eat less, exercise more" myth.

How can I call this a myth?

It's only logical, right? It makes sense that putting less calories in and burning more calories would be a great weight loss plan - right?

Wrong!

Here's why: when you eat less, you slow down your metabolism. A slower metabolism makes it harder to lose weight...not easier.

Why?

Well, when you eat less, your body thinks it's starving.

What happens next helps explain why most diets fail: Your body will do anything possible to ensure that you won't starve it to death. So less calories in actually slows down your metabolism, which is the opposite of what you want.

The result?

Your appetite increases sharply because your brain thinks it is not getting enough food so it will tease you into eating more next time you eat.

You end up gaining, not losing, weight.

Weight you lose on a starvation diet is only 1/2 fat...the other half is muscle. And, once again, losing muscle actually slows your metabolism (muscle cells burn far more calories than fat cells).

You now have the double whammy effect and you are slowing your metabolism down in 2 different ways.

Keep losing weight and regaining it (the "yo-yo" dieting effect) and you're really messing up your body's metabolism.

So what about exercise?
When you exercise hard, you'll burn lots of calories... that part IS correct. But, when you burn more calories than you take in (due to dieting or starvation), your body gets confused.

Just like eating less puts your body into starvation mode, intense exercise makes your brain think you're starving it - and your metabolism (again) will slow down.

You now have 3 different factors that will destroy your body's ability to lose weight properly - and keep it off.

So, what is the solution?
Hypnosis. The all-natural, gentler way to reprogram your mind and body to lose weight.

No pills - no diets - no extra exercise.
